01. Zero-Tracking Architecture

Chitrax, developed and operated by MorningStar Web & App Development (Kolkata, India), is built upon a fundamental privacy-first engineering philosophy: our public web application operates with zero tracking cookies, zero marketing cookies, and zero behavioral advertising pixels.

We do not monetize visitor attention, run tracking beacons, or profile users across third-party websites. When you use Chitrax to compress an image, merge PDFs, or generate passport photos, your activity remains private to your device.

02. Technical Definition of Cookies & Browser Storage

HTTP cookies are small text strings placed on your browser by web servers to persist session identifiers or track user behavior across domains. Local Storage and IndexedDB are browser-managed client storage mechanisms that allow client-side JavaScript to store application state locally without transmitting data back to the server in HTTP headers.

03. Complete Audit of Cookies & Storage Used

In accordance with international transparency standards under the EU ePrivacy Directive and India's DPDP Act 2023, our full domain storage audit confirms:

• Public Web Application (All Tool Pages): Zero cookies. Browsing our homepage, image tools, PDF utilities, or information pages places absolutely no HTTP cookies in your browser.
• Client-Side IndexedDB Storage: In the Passport Photo & Blank Sheet Studio, imported sheet configurations, photo item positions, and image blobs are saved locally into your browser's private IndexedDB database named chitrax_blank_sheet_db.
  Purpose: Strictly functional persistence to prevent accidental loss of user work during unintentional page reloads or tab switches.
  Network Transmission: Never transmitted over the internet or sent to MorningStar Web servers.
  Purge: Click "Clear Sheet" inside the studio to wipe this database immediately.

04. Third-Party Technologies & Bot Defense

To ensure platform availability, sub-second delivery, and basic service reliability, Chitrax integrates privacy-preserving infrastructure:

• Cloudflare Edge CDN: Static site assets and serverless routes are delivered via Cloudflare's global edge network with strict SSL/TLS encryption. Cloudflare's edge security evaluates network threats without setting tracking cookies.
• Cookieless Analytics: We load Plausible Analytics to count basic page visits and aggregate tool usage. Plausible does not use cookies, does not track users across days or sites, and records zero personally identifiable document or image data.

05. Browser Cookie Controls & Site Data Management

Because Chitrax does not set tracking cookies, you do not need to accept or configure a complex cookie consent banner to browse privately. However, you maintain complete sovereignty over your browser's cache and local storage:

• Google Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Delete browsing data > Cookies and other site data.
• Apple Safari: Settings > Safari > Advanced > Website Data > Remove All Website Data.
• Mozilla Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data > Clear Data.
• Microsoft Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Manage and delete cookies and site data.
